Dollywood

Grant and Madison got up early on Tuesday and we went down for a wonderful breakfast at The Inn at Christmas Place.  After breakfast we headed out for Dollywood and got there when it opened!

We were ready for a fun-filled day!  Grant and I stayed together to ride all the roller coasters and Danny, Carolyn, Eric and Madison all took off in a different directions to see shows and ride other things with Madison.  Grant and I started off by riding Dare Devil Falls  3 times in a row and got soaked!  What a way to start our day!  Now we had to ride the coasters to dry off!  The next ride we rode was the "Blazing Fury".  It was an indoor roller coaster and it was a very calm coaster.  Madison could have and would have enjoyed that ride.  The next ride we came to was The Tennessee Tornado.  It is a coaster that goes upside down and fast!  I finally convinced Grant to ride it and he loved it!  It was awesome!  After he rode that he decided he wanted to ride the Wild Eagle.

 Wild Eagle

This is the coaster that your legs dangle.  I was a little nervous, but of course wanted to ride it!  Grant loved it and we wound up riding it 4 times in the two days we were there!  It was Grant's favorite ride.  The next coaster we rode was The Mystery Mine.  I looked at it and didn't think it looked that great, but then Danny heard someone say it was their favorite ride, so I told Grant we had to go check it out.  WOW!  It was my favorite ride too!  It had two huge drops and went upside down it was CRAZY!!!  We rode it two times.

While we was there we saw a show "The Gazillion bubble Show".  http://gazillionbubbleshow.com/  It was a great show and was amazing what all they could do with the bubbles and how they could put bubbles in bubbles!

Grant wanted to do the Lumberjack with Carolyn
and Madison wanted to ride with Danny.

She was pulling them up!

The Ferris Wheel was another
favorite for Grant and Madison.
I rode it with them once, but
not my favorite ride.
Grant liked to rock the swing as we were going up
and my stomach didn't appreciate that!

Madison rode the Ferris Wheel with everyone.

We all loved riding the swings.

 Madison loved posing with Corduroy.

We headed to the 50's part of the Park.
Grant and Madison loved all the cars.

Danny and Carolyn had fun riding the cars too!

We moved on to the Bumper Cars next!
Madison and Grant both loved them.

Grant loved riding all the rides!

We had a great time at Dollywood and spent two full days
and enjoyed each day to the fullest!  We can't wait to go back again!

Family Mountain Trip

We decided to take one last family trip before school starts!  Danny, Carolyn and us all decided we were going to Dollywood.  We left on Monday and surprised  Grant and Madison and stayed at "The Inn at Christmas Place"  www.innatchristmasplace.com  It was a beautiful and great hotel!

Madison loved all the Christmas decorations.

We decided to go to Dollywood on Tuesday and
Wednesday so we went to the mountains on Monday
so we would have two full days at Dollywood!

We all took the walking trip up to Clingmans Dome.
It was a cloudy day, but the pictures turned out beautiful!

That night after supper we all decided to go to "The Comedy Barn".
It was a great show and they had all the kids go on the stage and dance
after the intermission.  Madison was ready to get on stage!

We had a great time!  It was a great family friendly show!

Grant's Yellow Belt Testing

After we got home from our weekend trip to Memphis, Grant had to practice his moves for his yellow belt testing the next weekend on July 13th.  He has really enjoyed Taekwando and has excelled quickly.  I have a few pictures to share from his day of testing.

They were getting warmed up before their testing.
Grant did a great job!

After his Saturday testing he went to his class and got his yellow belt!
He was ready to take off his white belt and put his yellow belt on!

He was so proud of his yellow belt!
This is Grant with his certificate!
I am so proud of Grant!
