Lighting of the Green

We went to Lipscomb to listen to  Amy Grant and her friends sing Christmas songs in the Allen Arena.  We also stayed for the lighting of the green and got our family picture made with Santa.  This is one of our Christmas Family Traditions.  It was an awesome concert and the tree was beautiful!  Here are some pictures of our outing.  Just a week late, not too bad!  :-)

Auto Expo Car Show 2011

We went to the Auto Expo Car Show at the Convention Center in
Nashville yesterday and Madison got her picture made with Santa!
I asked her if he wanted to know what she wanted for Christmas and she
said all he said was, "Do you want your picture made?"....  she said Yes!
We are hoping she is staying on the nice list......  it is a day by day situation!  :-)

This was the new Murano Convertible.
The color was a little crazy!
The kids like the convertible.

Notice they wouldn't let you sit in this one!

New Rolls Royce, Grant couldn't sit in this one either!

They got to see lots of new cars and sit in a lot of cars, but there were a few that
were off limits to everyone!  We had a good time at the Auto Expo Car Show.

Brownies

Well Madison has decided she wanted to join Brownies....  She has a couple of girls in her class that have joined and she thought it would be fun....  So we have joined and she is loving it.

Her first meeting was Friday, Nov. 11th and they are working on a cooking badge and they made cookies and decorated them and made a picture with food and then got to eat their creations.  They were talking about different badges they wanted to earn and fun things they want to do this year.

Sunday we drove to Cookeville and went to Tennessee Tech and meet with a sorority that was celebrating National Girls Day for Girl Scouts and they had fun activities planned for the girls.  They played games, sang songs, colored pictures and watched the sorority put on a play for them about how wonderful books are especially when you can't go everywhere, but you can read books about all kinds of places and learn about lots of things.  They had snacks and treats for the girls and was very sweet to all the Girl Scouts!  Here are a few pictures of their day at Tennessee Tech.
They had tables set up with all kinds of activities for the girls!

Madison ready to have some fun!

Some of the activities "Girl Worlds"
They had to name different people in each quadrant for each purpose.
GS - they named people in the Girls Scouts group.
There was a school house and they listed friends in class with them.
They listed family members in one quadrant.

This was all the Girl Scouts that came from all over and the Sorority.

They girls had a great time and on the way home we stopped at Marble Slab for a special treat!
