Summer Time June Recap!

Well I can't believe I will be going back to school next week! This summer flew by! We didn't make it to the beach this summer but we did go to the mountains! Grant attended 4 camps this summer and got braces and Madison attended two camps this summer. All three of us went Maury Christain Camp the first week in June and we left Eric at home because he had to work. Next maybe all 4 of us can go! It was a great week at Maury Christian Camp and Grant and Madison had a great week! I worked in the kitchen and so I stayed busy pretty much the whole time but I loved working in the kitchen!

Here are some pictures from Maury Christian Camp. The top left is all my peeps that I worked with in the kitchen. The top right is another one of Emily and I. The bottom right is Grants team performing there skit on Thursday nite. The bottom left is me getting initiated at camp! It was our first year and they always initiate first year staff and campers!! It wasn't too bad, but I was dreading it all week!!

Here are Madison with two of her friends and then the top right is my dear sweet friend Mykal! The sunset was awesome! We were singing on top of the mountain watching the sunset on Wednesday nite before Devo and it was amazing!

This top picture is Grant and his cabin buddies and the bottom picture is another one from Grants skit. We all had a great time at camp!!

After we got home and rested a week we got ready to get Grant his braces! He had a lot of emotions going into this nervous and excitement all at once! I had a little more nervous than excitement just hoping he wasn't going to be in too much pain in the process! I just can't stand it when my children hurt for any reason!!

Grant attended basketball camp at CA for a week and loved it. I think I was a little nervous since he had just got his braces and didn't want him to get hit in the mouth with a ball! The week went great with no injuries!

Next we had a cousin get married in Chattanooga so we decided we would extend our trip after the wedding and head to Gatlinburg and go to Dollywood and then drive up in the mountain one day. We have season passes to Dollywood and Splashin' Safari so the kids were excited to be going there! We had a nice trip and here are some pictures to share!

CDA Dress Rehearsal

Today was Madison's Dress Rehearsal for her CDA dance recital on Saturday! She was awesome of course! We went by a friend's house to get a professional bun in her hair (Mrs. Kari Robinson)! I am going to have to learn, but now is not the time!! :-) Her hair is so long and thick that it is a time consuming process, and time is what I don't have this week! I have lots of pictures to share from today and hopefully videos if it works out!

We had fun today and can't wait till recital on Saturday!!!

Next year Madison said she wants to do Jazz on

top of Ballet and Hip Hop! We love CDA!! :-)

Madison's Recital Pictures and End of Year!

Madison just finished the 3rd grade and now she will be in 4th grade next year! I can't believe how fast they are growing!! I have pictures to share of recital pictures and end of year pictures of Madison!

Grant graduated from 6th Grade!!! I can't believe he will be in 7th grade next year! Our middle school starts in 7th grade, so he will be a middle school-er!!

Months of April and May!

We've had a lot happen in April and May! We've had Lads to Leaders in April and Taekwando belt testing, birthdays, graduation, recital, and end of school in May! I will share all here!

I will start first with Lads to Leaders. Grant and Madison participated with our church is the annual Lads to Leaders at Opryland Hotel and Convention Center. Madison participated in Photography, Bible Reading and Puppets! Grant participated in Photography, Bible Reading, Song Leading, Bible Bowl and Puppets. They both scored perfect on Bible Reading and Grant's Puppet team got first in their age division. They were both winners in everything by just participating! By just letting their light shine for God, that's a winner to me! We had a great time at Lads to Leaders and look forward to doing it again next year! I have a few pictures to show of our adventure.

Madison had an adventure on the swings at school! She decided to jump out and it didn't go quite as planned and she took a hard fall on her elbow and fractured it!! I have a picture from the doctor with her cast!
