Memphis Trip

After we picked Grant up from MSYC we headed to Memphis for a weekend family trip!
We made reservations at the Peabody Hotel for Friday.  When we arrived at Memphis around lunch time we decided to stop off at the hotel and they had our room ready so we unloaded the car and got our tickets for Graceland.  Before we headed to Graceland we wanted to eat lunch at Dyer's on Beale Street.  Actually "I" wanted to eat there.  I saw it on Diners, Drive-In, and Dives and have wanted to eat there ever since I saw Guy there.  It was really good for a deep-fried burger!  After we left there we headed to Graceland to tour the house, airplane, and car museum.  Grant and Madison had never been there and have always wanted to go.  They enjoyed the house and looking at all of Elvis's stuff.  After we left Graceland it was supper time and we headed to Rendezvous for some awesome ribs. We all ate the ribs and enjoyed them very much!  We will definitely be back there the next time we are in Memphis!  The next day we headed to the Memphis Zoo and then to the Pink Palace Museum.  We had a fun filled weekend!  I have some pictures below of our trip!

Spa Day/ Sleepover

While Grant is at camp Madison and I decided we needed to do some girly stuff that we normally don't get to do with the boys....

I got a gift certificate from one of my students at the end of school and decided to use it for a spa day for me and Madison.  So I called and scheduled us an appointment.  In the meantime one of Madison's friends mom called and wanted Madison to come over and have a spa day with her daughter Caroline http://carolinedarden.com and some other of her girlfriends.  Their spa day turned in to a slumber party sleepover.  I stayed and helped the girls with their fun spa experience.  Mrs. Andrea and I gave them mani/pedi's and they played with the make-up and I fixed their hair!  It was a fun time with the girls.  I have a few pictures to share!

All the girls had a wonderful time at Caroline's Spa Day/Sleepover!  They all felt like little princesses!  What fun to do when all the boys are away!  We will have to do again soon!
