First Skating Experience!

For our Life Group at church today we met after morning worship at the Brentwood Skating Center.  Grant and Madison have never been skating and it has been years since I have been!!  They were nervous, but very excited!  When all of our Life Group members got to the Skating Center we met in one of the "party rooms" for our devotional and singing before we hit the rink!  We had a great devotional and the kids love singing!  We had a lot of falls but all in all the kids had a blast and they want to go back real soon!  Here are some pictures from today!

 This is how Grant and Madison started, 

but it didn't take Grant long to catch on!

 Madison spent most of her time on the carpet 

area skating around.  I took her around the

rink a couple of times.  The first time she went

she could not stand up very well.  Then the last time

we went around before we left, she didn't fall at all. 

I did hold her hand the whole way, but it was a 

huge improvement from the beginning!  She loved it!

 Here is Grant skating great around the rink!

I was super proud of him!  He was doing great!

 They were giving out glow sticks during the 

playing of  "YMCA" song to ones that were

skating and doing the motions as they skated!

Grant was so excited that he got one!

  You can see how hot he was, he had worked 

up a huge sweat skating!

with the kids and everyone had a great time!
