Today at school was our DARE graduation with out 5th graders.  It was a great program!  I have a picture of Grant to share!

All the students got a DARE t-shirt (the one Grant has on) and a certificate.

Stunt Camp

Last week (March 11-15) Madison participated in a Stunt Camp after school for 3 days and then on Friday they had a lock-in, slumber party at CATS in Columbia.  CATS is a gymnastics/cheering facility.  They focus more on the Cheering, that is what they are known for.  Madison has loved going to CATS.  They performed a routine they had been practicing after school and showed the parents all of their stunting moves!  I have some pictures to share!

These first few pictures was their little "dance routine" they
practiced all week and then performed on Friday night
for parents.  All the girls did a wonderful job!

Madison's hair is moving, she did fabulous!

She knew her moves!

They had a blast!  It was a lot of fun!

This is the awesome stunting that Madison
did!  She loves cheering and stunting!!

She was up in what they called the "Elevator"!  She loved it!

Madison is my little "stunt girl"!

 Way to go Madison!

 Madison coming back down!

Madison sound a sleep!  I stayed too and we got
about 4 hours of sleep!  Not too bad with 34 girls!  :)
We had a great time!

Imagine This!

Today at school they announced "Imagine This" winners.  Imagine this is a creative writing assignment that the students can only write at school.  3rd-6th grade can work in pairs after they pick a category.  The categories were:  Story Tellers, Fractured Fairytale, Poetry, and Persuasive essay.  Grant and his buddy Chris picked Story Tellers.  They wrote an original story and received 1st place out of the whole 5th grade.  They were both so excited!  I have some pictures to share from today!

Pinewood Derby Race

Well today was a big day for Grant and Eric.  Today was the day they put their car to the test to see who is the fastest.  We all got ready this morning to head out and support Grant!  Eric and Grant went on ahead of me and Madison to get the car weighed in and registered.  Eric helps with the race and keeps up with all the racers in the brackets.
Grant's group was the last group to go and Grant ended up in 2nd place.  He did a great job and we are very proud of him.  Now he will have to go to the district race in two weeks to compete with all the others in the district that got 1st and 2nd.  He had a lot of fun with all his buddies today!  I have some pictures to share from the race below.
